Andrew Harford graduated in December with a BA (Hons) Communications: Advertising & PR, with a minor in Digital Studies.
During his time at Richmond American University London, Andrew completed an internship in the Marketing and Recruitment team at the University and in a short space of time became an invaluable member of the team, creating and editing video content to promote the new campus and accommodation at iQ, being interviewed himself and getting other students involved in marketing initiatives.
Andrew said:
“After sending in my dissertation and finishing my studies at Richmond I’ve put many of the skills I learned to use in my new role as an alumni relations officer at the Global Banking School, here in London. The primary focus of my role is to establish and grow their alumni network into a thriving and interactive community. Innovating and establishing new ways of reaching students has been the hardest challenge and I actively pull from the many marketing and PR courses I completed.
In addition, my internship with the Marketing and Recruitment team reinforced what I was learning in the classroom with hands-on experience, which also gave me confidence in presenting my skills during the interview process and even afterwards when I’m presenting what skills I can support my team with.
When I look back on my time at Richmond, I’m immensely grateful for the time I spent learning and growing at Richmond Hill and at Chiswick Park and I am extremely eager to celebrate all of my fellow 2023 alumni’s achievements at the upcoming graduation ceremony! I hope to see many of you there!”
