Many congratulations to two of our Richmond Business School students who have been announced as one of the winners in a sustainability competition!
It’s all thanks to a ‘Triggering Change’ pitch competition, a joint initiative between Richmond Business School through the Institute for Corporate Sustainability (ICS) and John Cabot University in Rome. Students were invited to present a two-minute pitch for practical initiatives which would have an impact on two UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 13 (Climate Change) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger).
The winning pitch from Maureen Lundi and Paula Menzel was chosen as one of the winners for being, “Informative and creative, and helped us think creatively about climate change.”
The competition also had an impact on Maureen and Paula, “Thanks to this competition we have learned that it is important to increase everyone’s awareness about sustainability and especially that small changes in everyone’s behaviour can have an incredibly high impact”.
