The high standards of teaching and academic support at Richmond American University London have been recognised in the National Student Survey (NSS) awards which have been published recently.
Nearly half a million students across the UK are invited to take part in the NSS every year. The survey is completed by final year undergraduate students and the data is published on the OfS website.
The results showed that, when questioned about the quality of teaching and academic support at Richmond, 91 per cent of students said that the University’s teaching staff are good at explaining things; 95 per cent of students questioned said that teaching staff supported their learning well and 86 per cent said they had the chance to bring together information and ideas from different topics during their studies.
Dr Allison Cole-Stutz, Vice President for Student Affairs, commented, “The views of our students are incredibly important to us and the NSS is a vital tool for helping us to access and recognise those views, allowing us to understand what more we need to do to enhance student experience.
“I know our faculty are committed to providing the highest possible standards of teaching and to helping our students achieve excellent outcomes and we’re delighted that their commitment is reflected in these results.”
“We will continue to work closely with the whole University community to address feedback from our students across all areas of their experience.”
