News from Richmond Business School and beyond
In her new role as Deputy Provost – Faculty, Professor Sabine Spangenberg recently attended the AACSB EMEA Accreditation conference last week. The University is a member of this internationally renowned business organisation, AACSB or The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB connects educators, students, and business to achieve a common goal: to create the next generation of great leaders.
Professor Spangenberg said,
“The conference was held at IE Madrid with more than 300 participants from various institutions, including many from the UK. The event was highly useful for us to develop the University’s accreditations and also to keep us informed on current issues such as student engagement post-Covid, measures of student learning and aspects of AI developments.”
Now that Professor Spangenberg has moved into a new position at the University, Professor Greg Gannon has taken on the role as Head of Department, Richmond Business School. Professor Spangenberg said,
“We are delighted that Professor Greg Gannon has taken over the leadership of Richmond Business School with effect from June 2023 following his tenure as Postgraduate Programme Director in the Business School. Professor Gannon will continue his excellent work in developing new successful postgraduate programmes with the extension of looking after our undergraduate offerings too. Greg will be leading a faculty of over 30 colleagues.”
